In 2021, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, faced legal troubles in the Cordelia drugs bust case, involving allegations of drug possession, consumption, and trafficking. However, Aryan Khan was later cleared of all charges by the NCB’s Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the former zonal director of the NCB, Sameer Wankhede, and others were implicated in conspiracy and extortion threat charges.
In a significant development, Sameer Wankhede has achieved a major victory as the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) reportedly ruled that Gyaneshwar Singh was not part of the Special Enquiry Team (SET) established by Wankhede, as it was Wankhede who directed the investigation in the Cordelia drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. Recently, Wankhede shared a quote by Nicole Lyons on his social media: “I have licked the fire and danced in the ashes of every bridge I ever burned. I fear no hell from you.”
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for the release of ‘Jawan,’ which is expected to make a monumental impact at the box office. The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani, with cameo appearances by Deepika Padukone and Thalapathy Vijay.
‘Jawan’ is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma.
