An enchanting fall train adventure near Toronto is ready to sweep you away through an autumn wonderland, complete with seasonal treats – the perfect way to embrace the season.
The York Durham Heritage Railway (YDHR) is reintroducing its fall-themed experiences, offering a unique way to soak in the changing hues of fall.
Situated just an hour from Toronto in Uxbridge, YDHR is presenting two fall-inspired high tea experiences this year: the “Fall Colours High Tea” and the “Pumpkin High Tea.”
The “Fall Colours High Tea” kicks off on September 21, 2023, and continues on select dates until October 7. This vintage train ride will transport you through vibrant autumn landscapes as you relish fall-themed delicacies and sip on “sophisticated” teas. The experience lasts for an hour and a half, providing an exceptional opportunity to revel in the rich red and orange hues of the season.
As the name implies, the “Pumpkin High Tea” occurs on October 14 and 15, offering pumpkin enthusiasts a delightful experience. You’ll enjoy pumpkin-infused teas and savor delectable treats such as pumpkin scones and pumpkin-spiced pastries, all while gliding through breathtaking fall scenery.
Tickets for both events can be purchased online, with prices set at $84.99 for the “Fall Colours High Tea” and $99.99 for the “Pumpkin High Tea.”
But YDHR isn’t limited to just these fall experiences; there’s more autumn fun to be had. The railway is hosting a Fall Festival, a Fall Harvest Lunch Train, and even a new attraction known as the “Hell Train,” described as a “moving haunted house.”
Whether you’re a fervent fall foliage admirer or a pumpkin spice aficionado, the York Durham Heritage Railway offers a variety of experiences to celebrate all things autumn.
