Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a significant stride on Monday by virtually distributing approximately 51,000 appointment letters to freshly inducted government department and organization recruits through the Rozgar Mela.
The Rozgar Melas, organized as part of the Mission Recruitment initiative, have been an avenue for the Central government and some states/UTs to distribute appointment letters to hundreds of thousands of young individuals each month.
This edition of the Rozgar Mela, led by the Ministry of Home Affairs, is focused on recruiting personnel for various central armed police forces (CAPFs) such as CRPF, BSF, Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and even the Delhi Police, as stated in an official release.
The newly appointed individuals will have the opportunity to contribute to the nation by joining the services of various CAPFs. Selected from different parts of the country, these recruits will assume various positions, including Constable (General Duty), Sub-Inspector (GD), and Non-GD Cadre Posts in diverse organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
During his address at the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi expressed his appreciation for the new recruits and referred to them as ‘Amrit Rakshaks,’ emphasizing their dedication to serving the nation. He highlighted the changes made in the recruitment process for paramilitary forces to provide more avenues for the youth. Furthermore, he commended the progress in law and order in Uttar Pradesh, which has transformed the state’s image from being known for crime to now being recognized for investments.
PM Modi expressed confidence in India’s economic growth, predicting that it will become one of the world’s top three economies in the coming decade. He emphasized the potential of sectors like Pharma and automobile to generate significant job opportunities. He also highlighted the promising future of the tourism sector, which is projected to contribute over Rs 20 lakh crore to the Indian economy by 2030, offering a substantial number of new job opportunities for the youth.
In line with the “Made-in-India” initiative, PM Modi stressed the importance of supporting domestic products. He mentioned the government’s focus on purchasing Made-in-India laptops and computers, which has not only boosted manufacturing but also created additional job opportunities in the country.
