This hidden gem commences in the tranquil village of Garnlydan, situated in the northernmost part of Blaenau Gwent, near Tredegar.
As you leave Garnlydan, you’ll traverse the Heads of the Valleys road and enter Powys. The urban landscape of the Gwent Valleys transforms into a vast expanse as you ascend the Bannau Brycheiniog uplands, surrounded solely by mountaintop grasslands and the winding road.
